Kim is currently Chair of The Victorian Parliament’s Independent Broadbased Anti-Corruption Committee which reports to both Houses of the Parliament.Kim Wells was first elected to parliament in 1992, as an MP during the Kennett Government.  He represents the Rowville electorate in the Victorian Legislative Assembly.

Formerly Kim was Victorian Treasurer in the Baillieu Coalition government and Minister for Police and Emergency Services and Minister for Bushfire Response, under the Napthine Coalition Government.

He has a keen interest in the community and is Honorary Patron of the Victorian Homeless Fund.  Having been a Queen Scout, Kim is also a member of the Council for Scouts Australia.

Kim grew up in Bairnsdale and has a Master of Accounting from Victoria University and is a Fellow of CPA Australia.

Kim is married to Judy and they have three children. His interests include tennis, mountaineering, hiking and sports. He is a life member of Wesley Uniting Tennis Club and holds memberships for St Kilda Football Club, Footscray Football Club Past Players’ Association and the No. 1 ticket holder of the Scoresby Football Club.
