As Global CEO of Aurecon, a large engineering, management and specialist technical services company spanning 27 countries and employing over 7,500 people, across twelve industry groups, Giam is well qualified to provide insight into how the digital age is disrupting the way professional services firms go about their business.
Prior to his appointment at Aurecon, Giam, who views innovation and agility as core to his vision and leadership culture, was CEO of Deloitte Australia, holding that position for twelve years. He commenced his career as an Auditor with Deloitte South Africa and became Managing Partner of the Tshwane (Pretoria) office. Giam served on Deloitte’s Global Executive Committee, responsible for digital disruption globally. In Australia, he introduced the “Inspiring Women” initiative which led to the firm winning several awards around gender balance and diversity including “Inclusive Workplace of the Year Award” from the Australian Human Resources Institute in 2012.
